McGrath Bros installed new flooring in my condo bedroom/closet & polyurethaned the living room/kitchen flooring. I wanted to do bamboo but was unable to for several reasons so we're talking cork. I'm not crazy about the look of cork throughout but the building prefers it for noise reduction. I wish I had chosen a simpler pattern for the bedroom/closet area but choices were limited in the stores. On the work, Mike did a great job on his own although it would have been more efficient if he had had a helper. I wanted the flooring completed before I moved in so I was lucky that Rick McGrath pulled the project out of the fire when a scheduling hitch occurred. He also followed up. The company has a small store but lots of samples in materials other than cork. For anyone who is limited to using this type of flooring, I would recommend you do your shopping for product well in advance online.

We had new floors installed on our first floor of our home. Julie was so knowledgeable and helped us pick the perfect style for us. The whole process could not have gone any smoother. We were so impressed with Julie and our new floors. Really a great experience!!!

Overall had a great experience with McGrath brothers. I went to the showroom and Rick helped us pick out a floor. The materials arrived in a couple days and a duo, Mike and Mike were out there the next day to install it. It took them two days to complete 700 sq ft and it looked great. They took great care installing the floor and they cleaned up all the debris. A+

I loved working with Kate McGrath.  She came over to our house, helped me select the best prefinished floor for our home, measured the rooms/closets, and organized the order and installation.  I trusted her with the look, and it came out great!  Loved working with the head installer Mike.  He was determined to make sure everything was installed correctly!

In December of 2014 I came home to two inches of water standing in my kitchen as a result of a frozen pipe. My hardwood kitchen floor, dining room, bedroom and foyer were ruined.  Mr. McGrath began the project by helping me monitor the restoration service that worked to get things dried out. While that was happening he presented me with dozens of beautiful samples to choose from.  Having a tremendous amount of choices was a bit daunting, but Mr. McGraths understanding of current products, how they are made and how it would look installed in my home was extremely helpful. Once I decided on the flooring, Rick managed the shipping, delivery and installation of the replacement hardwood and carpet. His knowledge of the industry, the products and proper installation techniques left me very comfortable with my choice. The vents, transitions, and trim work was all done with care and looks tremendous.  It's been over a year since the flooring was installed and it's as beautiful today as the day he installed it.  Every detail was attended to and his professionalism is second to none.  If and when I have flooring needs in the future, McGrath Brothers will be my first call.

We use Rick McGrath and his team for the new installation of carpet in June 2015 in our Townhouse in Hampton Cove, Alabama. Rick gave us a price which was certainly fair and competitive but what we didn't expect was a upgrade of the pad to the best pad available and Rick kept the price the same due to being out of stock of the pad we first wanted. The installers were great with no visible seams and they were on time and had the entire carpet job completed in less than 2 days. I could not have been more happy with the job McGrath Brothers did and would HIGHLY recommend these guys for you carpet and flooring needs. From the designer, Julie, to the floor crew led by Leo, everyone wants to know that you’re satisfied with the work they’re doing! They are very communicative and desire your feedback at every step of the flooring process. The installation crew was amazing! They’re perfectionists. They took the time to explain every process they were about to do so I would be able to see what their goal was, which was my satisfaction. They asked if I had questions and were more than happy to answer any and all questions. If I wanted something different than what they explained, we stopped the process to discuss which options were available and what was going to be the best option for my situation. For example, I had a header that separated two rooms. I wanted to keep the headers and run new hardwood to those headers. Leo took the time to explain that lacing the wood into the old would add value to the entire home since it would look like the floors were continuous and all installed at the same time. This was a no additional cost option that I wasn’t aware of and gladly took their advice! They were right, it looks amazing and Leo and his crew made sure to get the right coloring and final coating to make the new floors blend into the older floors!

Leo and his crew also repaired a large scratch on my older floors with meticulous care. They treated each board individually and precisely, making sure I was completely happy with the outcome! I’ll be having them come back again soon to complete more new hardwoods in the raining rooms in my home!

I can’t begin to recommend this company and especially our project manager, Julie Jordan, to the extent that they deserve! We were having a horrible time with contractors and mitigation when a friend recommended to reach out to Julie who swooped in like Wonder Woman and saved the day (and the renovation!) With McGrath we were able to afford to lay gorgeous new wide plank flooring in the entire downstairs of our home and they sourced the exact blue cabinets of my dreams! They managed every aspect of the construction and contractors and even got the floors ripped out and installed over a two week vacation we already had planned-it was miracle timing! The owner, Rick, even came out to asses the situation and make sure it was done to his expectations. Julie provided design ideas and cost saving tips. We are SO happy with our new floors! Julie was a dream to work with, and the floors are stunning. We have gotten so many compliments from other people too! I highly recommend working with them!

After initial installation, an uneven patch became apparent and it progressed to become a real problem to our brand new planks. A few of them were buckling and splintering over time. Contacted the company who sent installers to redo the patch with our leftover flooring. They were able to smooth out the uneven concrete with some cement leveler and install the leftover planks. Turned out very nicely and there is no longer any unevenness, just flat and smooth floors. I’m once again a happy customer as they did the work at no additional cost as it was still under warranty.

The summer humidity was starting to warp our hardwood floors - I made a call the Rick McGrath for advice. He personally drove to my home the next morning, inspected the crawl space beneath the house and told me the problem related to our humidification system, He then wrote up a detailed recap, including photos of the problem area, and emailed it to me that night. When the HVAC repairman came the next day he knew exactly what to do to fix the problem. Just one more example of How McGrath Brothers go above and beyond the call of duty before, during, and AFTER the sale.
